Audio files may contain unwanted sounds, which make them unusable at parties or other events. You can encounter all sorts of problems with audio files, but fixing them is not difficult, especially if you have the right tools. CyberLink AudioDirector provides the same functionality as an advanced audio editor, but it is much easier to use. It allows you to make numerous adjustments and enhancements on your audio tracks, without spending most of your time looking through countless menus.

CyberLink AudioDirector is free to try for 30 days, without any other limitations. You can also purchase an older version, which is cheaper, but it comes with less features. The software is compatible with all modern Windows platforms and its hardware requirements are not high. Additionally, you don't have to install any prerequisite tools or codecs.

When mentioning an advanced audio editor, you would normally think about a large number of menus, numerous options and complex settings. This is not the case with CyberLink AudioDirector. Instead of an overloaded window, the software provides a tabbed user interface. You can adjust your loaded audio tracks, fix issues, like noises, clicks or hums, mix multiple audio files and burn an audio CD in separate sections.

Besides importing audio files from local folders, you can also load various sounds, from the software's library or download new sounds from the Internet. Additionally, you can record your voice with a microphone. Imported files and sounds are listed on the left side of the interface, where you can also find a large number of adjustment options. Selecting an imported item will display its wave forms, for the right and left channels, in the larger area of the interface.

You may select and crop a waveform segment, adjust the track's volume or pan the sound to the left or right channels, using keys. You can also use the adjustment options, located on the left side of the interface, to boost the volume, make fine adjustments to volume fades, trim the audio track, apply effects and much more. The interface's Restore section has the same layout, but it displays different adjustment options. This section is where you can reduce noises, remove clicks and hums and so on.

It is also possible to mix several audio files. You can load them in separate channels, cut and move them and make a few adjustments, on individual tracks or on the master track. The production can be exported in MP3, WAV, WMA or M4A format or uploaded to DirectorZone.

Pros

CyberLink AudioDirector allows you to perform various operations on audio files. Its functions are very well organized on a tabbed interface, which makes the software very easy to use.

Cons

There are no obvious drawbacks to mention. CyberLink AudioDirector combines professional grade tools with an easy to understand interface, to help you optimize your music or recordings without too much effort.
